They have been having issues with batteries lately.

A few weeks ago, there was a battery recall for iBooks and PowerBooks. Seems to be that there was a fire hazard due to overheating while charging.

Yesterday, they settled a suit (tentatively) where iPod owners will be entitled to a $50 coupon that can be used to buy Apple products or services.

Maybe they should get rid of their batteries’ manufacturer?

I personally haven’t had any problems with the batteries. I ordered the battery for my iBook though, it arrived 2 days later and sent the old one back to them, at no cost.
