Through kottke.org I learned that Google is opening it’s Gmail signup through SMS.

Before, you couldn’t get Gmail unless you got an invitation from someone that already had Gmail, and so on…

Now you can enjoy their 2.5+ Gigabytes, POP, SMTP, and great spam filters by sending an SMS message to your phone from the page they set up.

Cool eh??
