I found this Berea St. article that talks about HTML levels… It is quite interesting.
The article provides a good representation of HTML skill levels, gives a bit of awareness, and it kinda made my day because I know I am on the right track… me thinks. =)
I would say that I am at level 5, with a bit of level 4: I can’t think of building a website without CSS, I am always pushing for a clean and structured markup, I always make sure that pages display correctly in all browsers (because even when you gotta dig Firefox, there’s A LOT of IE out there). I am trying not to over use Class and I tend to use Div tags quite a bit (when necessary). And, I don’t use tables for layout, because you are supposed to use tables for ‘Tabular Data’ only, right? Right!

Recently I have come to realize how many of Google’s services I use nowadays (and one of them I stopped using for not too relevant reasons), most of them on a daily basis:

From the services listed above, 5 of them are in a Beta release. They are all free, and logically, at some point each one of them will have a Final Release version.
The part that somehow worries intrigues me, is to think that maybe Google will start charging for all these services. I love them, I’ve got used to them, I find them helpful (very), and it’s very likely that I would pay for them, but neat things in life are free… and Google Services are neat… and then some.
However, Google is Business, and they’ve proven to know how to do business, over and over again.
This is when it comes to: what should have a Premium?, and what shouldn’t?, or should all?
Meanwhile, I’ll keep enjoying their free stuff… Maybe you should do that too.

My dad and I went to watch X-Men 3 on Friday. We were crazy enough to go to the very first show… at 12:01am.
The movie is great. No regrets whatsoever. It is, like with the first and second installment, fast paced, action filled, and with fx that will blow your mind away.
I am only going to say that it is worth watching, and that maybe you need to watch at least X-Men Part 2 to be able to understand what’s going on on this one.
Also, there are a few shocking moments… And no, I am not being dramatic, some of the things that happened really surprised us.
Ahh.. and I read a review mentioning that it’s worth to stay through the credits at the end of the movie… I guess we’ll have to go and watch it again. =)

I have just completed my blulit.com website. All of it is now powered by Wordpress.
For the last few months I have been running Wordpress mainly as a blog, but I decided to use it’s page management capabilities to run the entire website through it.
I completed the transition from the Default (or Kubrick-based) Theme to my own xHTML markup structure and CSS layout.
It has been a while since I have been wanting to complete it, but I have been busy at work and once I get home I don’t want to do more design or development.
This weekend, maybe because of me getting a new toy, I felt compelled to work with it and do something creative and challenging.

I was very very eager to go and watch The Da Vinci Code’s Movie:
I have read three of Dan Brown’s books (Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, and Digital Fortress). All of them are good.
Simply put: Read the book. If you go and watch the movie before you read the book, you will never read the book.
Why? The movie is really bad.
I am not going to say anything else. But you should really really read the book.
