Firefox 2 - Release Candidate - Spell Check
This week I downloaded Firefox 2.0 - Release Candidate.
The browser now comes with built-in spell check, and I think that it is one of the best (and most useful) improvements. I love it!
You are there, typing away posting stuff on your blog or emailing through your favorite web based tool, and then you get underlined words that have failed the spell check, just as if you were working on a word processor.
Not only that, it also provides you with alternatives on what you probably meant to type, just like in a word processor. And with this you also give it the ability to ‘learn’ new words, like a name, or stuff like that.
I haven’t tested yet how to add dictionaries from other languages, because they are installed as extensions (or so-called add-ons within the new version).
Note: I am not encouraging anyone to go and download this version, it is not a final release and it is for testing purposes, so wait a bit more.
